Then the marble meets the tracks of the Marble Railway; the stone travels swiftly until it reaches the docks of Marina di Carrara.
There, the air turns briny.
The navicelli, historic wooden boats, are loaded with that solid white light, ready to cross the sea to the borders of the Orient.
But the true olfactory miracle takes place on the return journey, in the holds that come back laden with precious spices from the East.
This fragrance is the breath of that voyage.
HEAD:
Saffron and Ginger deliver a spicy, cold, electric burst, like marble dust suspended in the sea air, instantly ignited by the gold of oriental spices.
HEART :
The heart reveals a magnetic contrast.
Warm Honey and aristocratic Rose recreate the velvety texture of dreamlike stone.
Base:
Ambergris and Gurjun Balsam blend with Sandalwood, Cedarwood, and Guaiac Wood, evoking the ancient wood of the navicelli holds.
In the finale, White Musk, Vanilla, and Tonka Bean leave an immaculate trail on the skin.
